He is a urologist with over 30 years of experience in oncological Urology and kidney transplantation.

A pioneer and academic reference in urological laparoscopic surgery, he is part of the 3D-4K Laparoscopic Surgery Unit at Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor, a pioneering unit in Spain. For years, he has specialized in robotic surgery with the Da Vinci system.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he trained as a Urology specialist at Hospital Universitari del Mar. For years, he was an associate in the Urology Department at the Puigvert Foundation, where he also served as Clinical Head of the Uro-Oncology unit and was responsible for the kidney transplant program.

He performed the world’s first laparoscopic kidney transplant.

He has served as national coordinator of the Endoscopy, Laparoscopy, and Robotics Working Group of the Spanish Association of Urology (AEU).

Author of numerous scientific papers, surgical videos, and publications in national and international journals. A regular lecturer at congresses as an invited professor, he has received multiple awards and recognition from scientific societies.
